Gary J. Turgeon
After attending Roger Williams University’s School of Architecture, Gary Turgeon moved to Virginia and became a partner with Colony Ltd., a design-build firm in Williamsburg specializing in custom homes with colonial or traditional designs. During Gary’s eight years with Colony, the firm built over seventy homes in communities such as Kingsmill, Ford’s Colony, and Governor’s Land.
In 1998, Gary moved to South Carolina and worked with The Cliffs Communities as a Project Manager. He was the developer’s representative on such projects as The Cliffs at Glassy Chapel, The Lakehouse at Keowee Vineyards, and The Cliffs Valley Clubhouse. Although Gary enjoyed the development part of the construction business, he missed the more personal experience of designing and building custom homes. In 2000, Gary founded Oasis Custom Homes.
Josh Carter
After graduating from Emory University’s School of Business with a degree in Finance and Accounting, Josh spent a few years working in the Washington DC area as a Business Analyst. He soon realized that sitting at a desk all day was not for him. In 2000, Josh moved to South Carolina where he launched Fieldstone Development Group, LLC and began flipping houses in the Augusta Road area of Greenville. The opportunity to use his business background while enjoying more hands-on work was a perfect fit.
In 2002, after flipping a few houses, Josh bought a property that was beyond repair. He sought the input of his friend, Gary, and they decided to partner on two speculative homes at the site. The houses sold quickly, and Josh and Gary have been collaborating on successful projects ever since.
